FRANKLIN IND. TAKES HIRING SHOW ON THE ROAD

The Franklin Industries team spent the week attending job and career fairs. The team went to Polk Center, Oil City Jr/Sr High School, and Cranberry Mall to promote the company to the local community.

Polk Center

Polk Center, a landmark since 1897 that has been home to over 13,000 developmentally disabled persons will, unfortunately, be closing soon.

To help over 300 employees that will be displaced by the impending closing of the facility, an employment fair was held on Tuesday, March 21. Josh McFadden, Roll Change Manager, and Lynn Brandt, Workforce Development Manager, went there to help Polk employees learn about the career opportunities we have here at FI.

Handouts, candies, and application forms were provided during the fair. The team also showcased a “Virtual Tour” video of FI.

Oil City Jr/Sr High School

Franklin Industries attended the OCHS Career Fair along with other local businesses.

The event was held last Wednesday, March 22. It gave the OCHS students a general overview of the local career opportunities available to them after high school.

Josh McFadden, Roll Change Manager, Matt Basham, Highway Manager, and Lynn Brandt, Workforce Development Manager went to the fair. The FI team gave out candies and backpacks and answered the students’ questions during the festive event.

Cranberry Mall

Franklin Industries attended the Job Fair on Saturday, March 25 at the Cranberry Mall.

Josh McFadden, Roll Change Manager, and Lynn Brandt, Workforce Development Manager manned the FI booth at the career fair. They were kept busy by interested job-seekers who wanted to know more about the opportunities at Franklin Industries. We had a nice stack of completed applications and resumes by the end of the event.

It was a busy and productive yet fun week for Franklin Industries.
