FRANKLIN IND. CELEBRATES 20 YEARS UNDER KOVALCHIK FAMILY

This year, we celebrate our 20th year under the ownership of the Kovalchick family.

In the past 2 decades, the Kovalchicks has been fulfilling its commitment to keeping the 120-year-old rolling mill productive, profitable, and most importantly a safe working environment.

While the 1901 Franklin Rolling Mill & Foundry no longer exists, the Kovalchicks have kept the legacy of rerolling steel from recycled rail. Franklin Industries has been a solid employer embracing small-town family values and we will continue to do so.

FRANKLIN IND’S MIKE HENDERSON ATTENDS THE PA HEMP SUMMIT

Mike Henderson attended the 2019 Pennsylvania Hemp Summit last October 7-8, 2019. It was a 2-day event held in the Lancaster County Convention Center.

The recently passed Agriculture Improvement Act of 2018, also known as the Farm Bill paved the way for the creation of a new industry, industrial hemp farming, within the state, opening up new opportunities.

The Hemp Summit served as a celebration of Pennsylvania’s first full year of hemp production under new regulations set forth by the Farm Bill. It also brought together various sources of knowledge and expertise to assist those involved in every aspect of this new industry.

Vendors on display and attendees at the Summit included independent and corporate producers, hemp advocacy groups, consultants, CBD and fiber product vendors, fertilizer vendors, hemp processors, banks, attorneys, testing labs, greenhouse manufacturers, seed suppliers, and farm machinery suppliers.
